Exploration of the external ear and eardrum

 Otoscopia

Otoscopy is a simple technique that involves examining the ears with a device equipped with light and magnifying lenses called an otoscope.

The examination is usually painless, although it can be somewhat uncomfortable if there is an infection in the external auditory canal.

It can be performed on people of any age, including newborns, although in their case, due to the small size of the ear canal, it can sometimes be difficult.
